Final Exit Network
Marie Castle interviews Faye Girsh, a senior advisor for Final Exit Network from Colorado. Until physician aid in dying (now legal only in Oregon) becomes more generally available, Final Exit Network works within the law to aid hopelessly ill people who wish to shorten the dying process. Ms. Girsh explains how political pressure from authoritarian religions forces people to suffer for no other purpose than to validate fundamentalist religious beliefs.
